* WHAT...Large breaking waves will build to 8 to 11 feet this afternoon, and to 9 to 13 feet with local sets to 15 feet tonight and Friday. High surf will continue into Saturday morning, then surf will slowly subside. There is a high risk of dangerous rip currents this afternoon through Saturday. * WHERE...San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara County Central Coast Beaches. * WHEN...From 3 PM this afternoon to noon PST Saturday. * IMPACTS...There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats near shore. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Minor coastal flooding is possible on west and northwest-facing beaches a couple of hours on either side of the high tides Friday morning and Saturday morning. * WHAT...Large breaking waves will build to 5 to 7 feet this evening, and to 6 to 8 feet with local sets to 10 feet late tonight and Friday. High surf will continue into Saturday morning, then surf will slowly subside. There is a high risk of dangerous rip currents this afternoon through Saturday. * WHERE...Ventura County Beaches. * WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to noon PST Saturday. * IMPACTS...There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats near shore. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There may be some nuisance to minor coastal flooding on exposed west-facing beaches a couple of hours on either side of the high tides Friday morning and Saturday morning.
