At 324 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 13 miles southwest of Maljamar, or 27 miles east of Artesia, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Lea County Zip Franklin Memorial Airport and Loco Hills.

At 314 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Ranchvale, or 13 miles northwest of Clovis, moving north at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Grady, Broadview, Wheatland and Ranchvale.

East central Lea County in southeastern New Mexico... * Until 345 PM MDT. * At 257 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles northwest of Eunice Airport, or 13 miles west of Eunice, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Hobbs, Monument, Nadine, Oil Center, and Lea County Regional Airport.

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 9 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph, creating areas of blowing snow. * WHERE...East Slopes Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and Johnson and Bartlett Mesas Including Raton Pass. * WHEN...From Sunday evening through Monday evening. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Tire traction will be reduced. Extend the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you. This includes along portions of I-25. Blowing snow could reduce visibility below 1/2 mile at times, particularly at Raton Pass Monday morning and afternoon.

Total snow accumulations up to 5 inches. * WHERE...Sacramento Mountains Above 7500 Feet. * WHEN...From 5 PM Sunday to 5 PM MST Monday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...First winter system of the season brings snow showers to high elevations of the Sacramento Mountains with the heaviest snowfall expected Sunday night.

Flood Warning issued November 2 at 11:59AM MDT until November 3 at 9:00AM MST by NWS Albuquerque NM

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is ongoing and expected to continue through the afternoon and evening. * WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast New Mexico, including the following counties, in east central New Mexico, southwestern Roosevelt. In southeast New Mexico, northeastern Chaves. * WHEN...Until 900 AM MST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. It will take several hours for all the water from earlier storms to work through local arroyos, washes, and drainages in and around the Pecos River and Rio Felix. Local law enforcement has reported water rescues. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1152 AM MDT, trained weather spotters, media, law enforcement, and emergency managers have reported heavy rain in the warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing and expected to continue well into this evening. Between 2 and 4.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area through early this evening. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... In southeast New Mexico, Chaves County Plains. * WHEN...Until 7 PM MDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Between 1 to 5 inches of rain fell Friday night over much of the area. Up to 2 inches of additional rainfall is possible this afternoon.
