A WEAK TO MODERATE ATMOSPHERIC RIVER IS POSED TO IMPACT THE SOUTHERN PANHANDLE THIS WEEKEND WITH HEAVY RAINFALL BEGINNING FRIDAY AND PERSISTING INTO SATURDAY. AT PRESENT, 24 HOUR RAINFALL TOTALS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES ARE FORECASTED FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY. WINDS DURING THIS TIME FRAME LOOK TO BE 10 TO 20 MPH, WITH GUSTS TO 30 MPH NEAR SEA LEVEL LOCATIONS AND HIGHER VALUES AT ELEVATION. RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY AND IS CURRENTLY EXPECTED TO BE LESS INTENSE; HOWEVER, THERE IS POTENTIAL FOR A SECOND RESURGENCE OF HEAVIER RAIN SUNDAY.
