Special Weather Statement issued November 17 at 6:15AM EST by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC

Based on the latest surface observations and traffic cameras, freezing fog is being observed over portions of far western Maryland down into the eastern West Virginia panhandle. In particular, the issue is especially tied to sheltered mountain valleys where temperatures are mostly at or below freezing. Until temperatures go above freezing, this may be an issue to travelers early this morning. Please exercise caution when encountering these fog banks.
