We may provide a wider range of issued severe weather warnings for surrounding cities and counties, so some alerts may not directly impact this location. This is done to help with preparing for severe weather that may overlap or be heading towards Toombs County.

Flood Advisory issued November 7 at 7:25PM EST until November 7 at 8:30PM EST by NWS Jacksonville FL

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Georgia, including the following counties, Brantley, Pierce and Ware. * WHEN...Until 830 PM EST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 723 PM EST, public and trained weather spotters report flooding in the Waycross Area. Minor flooding is ongoing. Up to 5 inches of rain have fallen. - The Waycross Area is the most affected area. At 706 PM EST, emergency management reported heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring along Ashley Street in downtown Valdosta. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Valdosta, Lake Park, I-75 At Exit 16, Remerton, Dasher, Valdosta Regional Airport, I-75 At Exit 11, Twin Lakes, Kinderlou, I-75 At Exit 5, Clyattville, I-75 At Exit 22 and Naylor.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Big Bend Florida, including the following areas, Inland Jefferson and Madison and south central Georgia, including the following areas, Brooks, Lanier, Lowndes and Thomas. * WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Friday. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams may be running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Pockets of heavy rain will remain possible this evening. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Ogeechee River at Midville. * WHEN...From late tonight to Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 6.0 feet, the access road into the River Bluff community in Midville floods. The lower portion of Johnson Road near Herndon is also flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 300 PM EST Thursday, the stage was 5.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Friday morning to a crest of 6.1 feet Friday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Friday evening. - Flood stage is 6.0 feet.

This approaches the flood of record. * WHERE...Canoochee River near Claxton. * WHEN...From this evening until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, several homes will be impacted by flood waters along Highway 169 near the Canoochee River. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 315 PM EST Thursday, the stage was 7.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening and continue rising to a crest of 16.5 feet Friday evening. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

The access road becomes covered with water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 300 PM EST Thursday, the stage was 9.3 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage this evening to 15.9 feet early Saturday morning. It will then fall Sunday morning but remain above flood stage. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
