Although northerly winds will be around 5 to 10 mph on Thursday in Berkshire and Litchfield Counties, the very dry ground along with relative humidities during the afternoon ranging from 20 to 30 percent will again lead to elevated fire weather concerns. Outdoor burning is not recommended. Use caution when handling and disposing of ignition sources such as matches and cigarettes.

Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged. Use extra caution if handling any potential ignition sources, such as machinery or matches, and ensure to properly extinguish or dispose cigarette butts.
