Snow accumulations between 3 and 5 inches. * WHERE...Portions of northwest, southwest, and western Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia. * WHEN...Until 1 PM EST Friday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Much of the accumulation will be on grassy surfaces but roads could become snow covered tonight and Friday morning.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Snow accumulations between 6 and 13 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Portions of southwest Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia. * WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates up to 1.5" per hour Friday morning.

* WHAT...Snow, heavy at times. Totals will be highly elevation dependent. Accumulations of 1 to 4 inches in valley locations with amounts of 6 to 12 inches above 1,500 feet. Totals of 12 to 16 inches possible in the highest elevations. * WHERE...Portions of central New York and northeast Pennsylvania. * WHEN...Until 4 PM EST Friday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult, especially with snowfall rates of 1-3 inches per hour in spots overnight. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning commute. Heavy snowfall could bring down trees and wires due to the weight of the snow.

Special Weather Statement issued November 21 at 7:41PM EST by NWS State College PA

A several hour period of wet snow is likely early Friday as surface low pressure strengthens off the New Jersey Coast and upper level low pressure with cooling temperatures aloft moves east across Pennsylvania. Snow accumulations will be light and generally less than one inch. However, with forecast low temperatures between 30 and 34 degrees, some untreated roads and bridges could develop a light coating of slush creating slick travel conditions. Plan for the possibility of variable travel conditions and allow a little extra time for travel, especially if your route takes you over some of the ridge tops.
