The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Friday morning through Friday afternoon. * AFFECTED AREA...Leeward portions of all Hawaiian Islands. * TIMING...From Friday morning through Friday afternoon. * WINDS...Northeast to east 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 40 to 50 percent. * IMPACTS...A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and dry fuels can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

Along exposed west facing shores, surf 12 to 18 feet tonight, decreasing to 10 to 14 feet Thursday. * WHERE...North and west facing shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, and north facing shores of Maui. * WHEN...Until 6 PM HST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Moderate.
