Flood Advisory

Flood Advisory issued November 5 at 6:21AM AST until November 5 at 8:15AM AST by NWS San Juan PR

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of Puerto Rico, including the following counties, Ceiba, Fajardo and Naguabo. * WHEN...Until 815 AM AST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 621 AM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Fajardo, Naguabo, Ceiba, Aguas Claras, Roosevelt Roads, Luis M. Rip Current Statement issued November 5 at 4:15AM AST until November 5 at 6:00PM AST by NWS San Juan PR

* WHAT...Life-threatening rip currents due to breaking waves up to 8 feet. * WHERE...Beaches from the northwest to northeast coast of Puerto Rico. * WHEN...Through this afternoon. * IMPACTS... Rip currents that can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water where it becomes difficult to return to safety.
