We may provide a wider range of issued severe weather warnings for surrounding cities and counties, so some alerts may not directly impact this location. This is done to help with preparing for severe weather that may overlap or be heading towards Port Townsend.

* WHAT...South winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. * WHERE...Central Coast and North Coast. * WHEN...Until 4 AM PST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The wind advisory replaces the high wind warning for Central Coast and North Coast. Gusty winds will still be possible through this evening.

* WHAT...South winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph for beaches and headlands. * WHERE...Clatsop County and Tillamook County Coast, and South Washington Coast. * WHEN...Until 10 PM PST this evening. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 18 to 23 feet expected in the surf zone. * WHERE...North Coast and Central Coast zones. * WHEN...Until 10 PM PST this evening. * IMPACTS...Large waves may wash over beaches, jetties, and other structures unexpectedly. People can be swept off rocks and jetties and drown while observing high surf. Localized beach erosion is possible.
