* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations up to 12 inches possible in the higher elevations. * WHERE...Lackawanna, Luzerne, Southern Wayne, and Wyoming Counties. * WHEN...From Thursday afternoon through Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The highest snowfall accumulations will be in the higher elevations were up to 12 inches will be possible. In the valleys, snowfall accumulations will be much lower.

Total snow accumulations up to 6 inches in the higher elevations. * WHERE...Bradford, Northern Wayne, Pike, and Susquehanna Counties. * WHEN...From 4 PM Thursday to 4 PM EST Friday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The highest snowfall accumulations will be in the higher elevations where 4 to 6 inches of snowfall can be expected. Locally higher amounts may be observed in these locations. In the valleys, snowfall accumulations will be much lower.
