We may provide a wider range of issued severe weather warnings for surrounding cities and counties, so some alerts may not directly impact this location. This is done to help with preparing for severe weather that may overlap or be heading towards Perry Point.

* WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. * WHERE...Dorchester, Wicomico and Somerset Counties. * WHEN...From midnight tonight to 6 AM EDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Shallow flooding is expected in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline resulting in a low threat of property damage. Expect up to one foot of water above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks and lawns near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents expected. * WHERE...Coastal Worcester County, including Ocean City. * WHEN...From 8 AM EDT Thursday through Thursday evening. * IMPACTS...Dangerous rip currents expected.

Coastal Flood Advisory issued September 18 at 1:49PM EDT until September 19 at 7:00PM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC

* WHAT...Up to two feet of inundation above ground level in low lying areas due to tidal flooding. * WHERE...Shoreline in Charles and King George Counties. * WHEN...Until 7 PM EDT Thursday, especially around the time of high tide. * IMPACTS...At 3.5 feet, water reaches yards near Cobb Island and docks near Dahlgren. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides one and a half to two feet above normal. The next high tide at Indian Head is at 8:46 PM and 9:14 AM. The next high tide at Goose Bay is at 4:52 PM and 5:20 AM. The next high tide at Dahlgren is at 3:45 PM and 4:10 AM.

* WHAT...Up to one and a half feet of inundation above ground level in low lying areas due to tidal flooding. * WHERE...Shoreline in Anne Arundel County. * WHEN...Until 10 PM EDT Thursday, especially around the time of high tide. * IMPACTS...At 2.8 feet, flooding of some of the parking area near Dock Street in Annapolis may occur, with water surrounding the Alex Haley Memorial. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides one to one and a half feet above normal. The next high tide at Annapolis U.S. Naval Academy is at 6:20 PM and 6:27 AM.
