St Johns River Near Astor affecting Lake and Volusia Counties. .River levels on the St Johns near Astor are forecast to hover around 3 ft in Moderate Flood Stage through Wednesday afternoon or evening, then rise a few inches while remaining in Moderate Flood Stage Thursday and Friday as winds behind a passing cold front become north to northwesterly. The river is then forecast to resume a slow decline later in the week and into the week as winds become lighter. Residents and interests along the Saint Johns River should continue to expect prolonged flood impacts. For the St. Johns River...including Astor...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor saltwater flooding. * WHERE...The Florida Keys. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Minor saltwater flooding of low elevation streets and lots is likely. Some storm drains will overflow, and some seawalls and docks will be overtopped. Boaters can expect less clearance under fixed bridges. Motorists should remember that persistent puddles around the times of high tide are almost certain to contain a mix of saltwater.

These water levels will lead to road flooding in Mashes Sands Beach, Panacea, Spring Creek, Shell Point, and St Marks. A couple of structures not elevated may also be affected if water levels approach the 3 foot level.
