Do not rely soley on data presented here or other third-party websites - always check your official national and local weather service agency website, socials, radio and/or TV stations for making critical decisions related to weather events.

Please carefully read each posted Warning and Alert as it relates to the area(s) being affected. Special Weather Statement

Special Weather Statement issued September 19 at 3:02AM MDT by NWS Goodland KS

At 4 AM CDT, the automated weather observation site in Colby continued to report dense fog, with visibility at or below one quarter mile. At Oakley, visibility has been fluctuating between 2 and 5 miles. Locally dense fog is anticipated to lift and dissipate by 5 or 6 AM CDT, as winds abruptly shift to the northwest and increase to 15 to 25 mph in the wake of a modest cold frontal passage. Drivers are urged to slow down and exercise additional caution, especially at intersections and highway onramps and offramps where accidents are more likely to occur. Use low beam headlights and be prepared for rapid reductions in visibility.
