* WHAT...Large breaking waves of with up to 20 ft along steep NW facing beaches. * WHERE...San Francisco, Coastal North Bay Including Point Reyes National Seashore, San Francisco Peninsula Coast, Northern Monterey Bay and Southern Monterey Bay and Big Sur Coast Counties. * WHEN...Until 6 AM PST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Northwest facing beaches are most at risk for large turbulent shore break and strong currents. Winter Weather Advisory issued November 12 at 12:02PM PST until November 15 at 10:00PM PST by NWS Sacramento CA

* WHAT...Snow expected above 5500 feet. Total snow accumulations over three days between 6 and 12 inches, with locally higher amounts over the peaks. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. * WHERE...West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada and Western Plumas County/Lassen Park Counties. * WHEN...From 10 AM Wednesday to 10 PM PST Friday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slick travel conditions. Snow covered roads, chain controls, and travel delays possible. These hazardous conditions may impact commutes Wednesday through Friday. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Impacts expected to arrive in two waves, with the first wave arriving on Wednesday. There will be a brief lull in precipitation Thursday morning, before resuming midday Thursday into Friday. Initial snow levels 5500-6000 feet with the first wave, before lowering to 4500-5500 feet by Friday morning.

High Surf Advisory issued November 12 at 8:50AM PST until November 13 at 10:00AM PST by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 10 to 14 feet across northwest and west-facing beaches, with dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara County Central Coast Beaches. * WHEN...From noon Tuesday to 10 AM PST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats near shore. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Nuisance coastal flooding possible during morning high tide for NW and W-facing beaches.
