Winter Storm Watch

Winter Storm Watch issued November 27 at 3:25AM EST until December 2 at 7:00AM EST by NWS Cleveland OH

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow possible. Total snow accumulations in excess of 8 inches possible. * WHERE...Crawford, Northern Erie, and Southern Erie Counties. * WHEN...From late Thursday night through Monday morning. * IMPACTS...There is increasing confidence in a multi-day lake effect snow event off Lake Erie, beginning on Friday. However, there still remains some uncertainty in the exact placement and timing of lake effect snow bands across the region and how quickly snow will taper off early next week. Any heavy lake effect snow bands will have the potential for 1 to 2 inch per hour snowfall rates and poor visibility, as low as one quarter of a mile, which could make travel difficult to impossible, especially along Interstates 90, 86, and 79. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes and any post-holiday travel.
