Increased risk for rapid wildfire growth and spread. Prescribed burns may get out of control.

Coastal Flood Advisory issued November 14 at 10:25PM EST until November 15 at 4:00PM EST by NWS Mount Holly NJ

* WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. * WHERE...In New Jersey, Northwestern Burlington. In Pennsylvania, Lower Bucks. * WHEN...From 11 AM to 4 PM EST Friday. * IMPACTS...At this level, flooding begins on the most vulnerable roads along tidal waterways. Some partial or full road closures are possible.

Special Weather Statement issued November 14 at 4:01PM EST by NWS Mount Holly NJ

There is an increased risk for fire spread Friday afternoon. Minimum relative humidity values are expected to be between 20 and 30 percent Friday afternoon with the exception of the immediate coastal areas. Wind gusts will be around 15 to 20 mph. Due to the combination of marginal winds and very low relative humidity values, these conditions could support the rapid spread of any fires that ignite, which could quickly become difficult to control. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged. Be sure to properly extinguish or dispose of any potential ignition sources, including smoking materials such as cigarette butts. Burn restrictions and burn bans are in effect for some areas. Refer to your state's forest fire management agency for more information on burn restrictions for your local area. Critical fire weather conditions are possible on Saturday, therefore a Fire Weather Watch is now in effect.

The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a Fire Weather Watch, which is in effect from Saturday morning through Saturday afternoon. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 043, 044, 047, 048, and 072. This includes Wyoming, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Southern Wayne, and Pike county. * WIND...Northwest 8-12 mph with gusts of 20 to 25 mph, especially over the higher terrain of the Poconos. * HUMIDITY...As low as 25 to 30 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
