The lowest lying locations and roads along the Bolivar Peninsula including the intersection of Highway 87 at 124, western Galveston Island, Blue Water Highway and Surfside may see some minor overwash around high tide times. There will be a high risk of rip currents along are beaches Sunday and Monday as well. Swim near a lifeguard.

* WHAT...Minor coastal flooding expected. * WHERE...Lower Jefferson County. * WHEN...From 3 PM this afternoon to 3 AM CST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tonight a Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect for coastal Jefferson County, where water levels are forecast to reach 1.5 to 2 ft above mean higher high water (MHHW). Other coastal areas are near advisory criteria, warranting continued monitoring. Tomorrow Night: A Coastal Flood Advisory will likely be necessary for most, if not all, of the coastline.
