Flood Advisory

Flood Advisory issued November 13 at 9:00PM EST until November 14 at 12:00AM EST by NWS Louisville KY

Showers with embedded thunder continues to work across north central KY this evening. Some of these showers have had heavy rainfall associated with it producing over an inch of rain in some locations. Ponding on area roadways and urban flooding is the main concern. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of south central Indiana, including the following county, Clark and central Kentucky, including the following counties, Bullitt, Hardin, Jefferson, Oldham and Shelby. * WHEN...Until midnight EST tonight. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 858 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.7 and 1.3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.8 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Louisville, Elizabethtown, Jeffersonville, New Albany, Jeffersontown, St. Matthews, Shepherdsville, Lyndon, Middletown and Douglass Hills. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
