...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Florida... St Johns River Near Astor affecting Volusia and Lake Counties. .River levels on the St Johns near Astor are forecast to continue a steady decline through Minor Flood Stage through early this week, and then falling below Minor Flood Stage into mid week. For the St. Johns River...including Astor...Minor flooding is forecast. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued this evening at 1100 PM EST. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...St Johns River near Astor. * WHEN...Until Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 2.3 feet, Many docks become submerged along the river and in canals in the Astor community. Water enters yards of properties on Bartram Road, Holiday Circle and along Wild Hog Road on the Lake County side. In Volusia County, water encroaches yards of homes on the river side of Alice Drive. No wake zones are in effect from near the South Moon Canal to approximately 800 feet south of the Riverview lodge. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 AM EST Monday the stage was 2.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 2.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:30 AM EST Monday was 2.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to continue a gradual decline through Minor Flood Stage early this week, and is forecast to fall into Action Stage mid week. - Flood stage is 2.3 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Patchy to Areas of dense fog are expected early this morning. Fog may linger through the mid- morning hours before dissipating. Use extra caution and plan for longer commute times if traveling along the I-75 and Highway 301 corridors. Use your low beam headlights and make sure to leave plenty of distance between the vehicle in front of you.

Areas of dense fog were developing during the predawn hours over the Florida Big Bend and Nature coasts. This fog was pushing slowly eastward across the Suwannee and Withlacoochee Rivers, and fog should continue to spread eastward towards the Interstate 75 corridor in the Suwannee Valley and north central Florida towards sunrise. Fog may linger through the mid- morning hours before dissipating. Use extra caution and plan for longer commute times if traveling along the I-75 corridor and points westward this morning. Use your low beam headlights and make sure to leave plenty of distance between the vehicle in front of you.
