For the Upper Sacramento River...Ord Ferry...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Sacramento River at Ord Ferry. * WHEN...Until late tonight. * IMPACTS...At 114.0 feet, Designated flood stage left bank. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:45 PM PST Saturday the stage was 113.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 114.0 feet. - Forecast...Forecast to fluctuate near 114.0 FT into just after midnight tonight then forecast to fall below monitor stage of 110.0 FT early tomorrow afternoon then forecast to recede to near 102.0 FT Monday morning then forecast to rise to near 102.5 FT Monday afternoon with continued rise expected. * Impact...Near 113.8 feet, Design overflow level for M&T, 3Bs and Goose Lake flood control facilities to divert flood flows into Butte Basin. M&T overflows close River Road from Ord Ferry Road to Chico Road. Ord Ferry Road is already closed. Near 114.0 feet, Designated flood stage left bank. Near 110.3 feet, Head cuts in 3Bs silt weir start overflow into Butte Basin, flooding dips on Ord Ferry Road west of River Road. Persistent flows at or above this level increase flooding in Butte Basin. For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy snow expected above 7000 to 8000 feet. Total snow accumulations between 1.5 and 2 feet below 8500 feet and 3 to 5 feet near the crest. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. * WHERE...Eastern Sierra Slopes. * WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 4 AM PST Sunday. For the Winter Storm Warning, from 4 AM Monday to 10 AM PST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Roads will become snow covered and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. * WHAT...Heavy snow possible mainly above 4000 feet. Total snow accumulations up to 24 inches for remote parts of Mount Shasta. 8 to 12 inches of snow for Snowmans Summit and Dead Horse Summit on Highway 89. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...Portions of south central Siskiyou County above 4000 feet, including Snowmans Summit and Dead Horse Summit along Highway 89 and Mount Shasta Ski Road. * WHEN...From 10 AM Sunday to 4 AM PST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snowfall, up to 1" per hour, will fall in at least two waves, the first one occuring between generally between 4 pm and 8 pm on Sunday. We will update the timing for additional rounds of the heavier snowfall rates once we get closer to the event.

Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Russian River at Johnsons Beach at Guerneville. * WHEN...Until late tonight. * IMPACTS...At 34.0 feet, In Guerneville flooding begins at Johnsons Resort, Parkers Resort, Creekside Resort and Riverside Park. In Northwood lower Redwood Drive begins to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:00 PM PST Saturday the stage was 34.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 32.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 1:00 PM PST Saturday was 34.7 feet. The river has crested and the level is coming down. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late this evening and continue falling to 23.4 feet early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 32.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 34.2 feet on 12/25/1983. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Winds gusting as high as 45 mph over the ridges. * WHERE...Northern Trinity. * WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 4 PM PST this afternoon. For the Winter Storm Warning, from 10 AM Sunday to 4 PM PST Monday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Tire chains may be necessary if travelling through mountain passes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow impacting Highway 3 at Scott Mountain Pass.

Total snow accumulations of 1 to 4 feet and up to 5 feet along higher peaks. * WHERE...West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada and Western Plumas County/Lassen Park Counties. * WHEN...Until 4 PM PST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Snow-covered roads, chain controls and travel delays are likely which will result in very difficult travel at times above 5500 feet. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels today will be around 5000 feet today. Snowfall will decrease in intensity tonight into Sunday afternoon. Heavy snow at times again Monday and Tuesday with snow levels 5500-6500 feet.

* WHAT...Southwest winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph. Winds will likely peak through 4 PM today before gradually decreasing overnight. * WHERE...Eastern Sierra Slopes and Owens Valley. * WHEN...Until 4 AM PST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be hazardous, especially for high profile vehicles. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Downslope winds can create sudden gusts which can result in particularly hazardous crosswinds for high profile vehicles on sections of Highway 395 near the Sierra foothills in the Owens Valley.
