Jefferson Hills Warnings, Watches and Advisories

SAFETY and DATA MESSAGE

Do not drive vehicles through flooded areas. The water depth or fast flowing water/mud/debris from a flash flood will make road conditions unsafe. Do not rely soley on data presented here or other third-party websites - always check your official national and local weather service agency website, socials, radio and/or TV stations for making critical decisions related to weather events.

Please carefully read each posted Warning and Alert as it relates to the area(s) being affected. We may provide a wider range of issued severe weather warnings for surrounding cities and counties, so some alerts may not directly impact this location. This is done to help with preparing for severe weather that may overlap or be heading towards Jefferson Hills.

Special Weather Statement

Special Weather Statement issued November 15 at 5:03AM EST by NWS Mount Holly NJ

There is an increased risk for fire spread this afternoon. Minimum relative humidity values are expected to be between 20 and 30 percent during this afternoon with the exception of the immediate coastal areas. Wind gusts will be around 15 to 20 mph. Due to the combination of marginal winds and very low relative humidity values, these conditions could support the rapid spread of any fires that ignite, which could quickly become difficult to control. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged. Be sure to properly extinguish or dispose of any potential ignition sources, including smoking materials such as cigarette butts. Burn restrictions and burn bans are in effect for some areas. Refer to your state's forest fire management agency for more information on burn restrictions for your local area. Critical fire weather conditions are expected for Saturday, therefore a Fire Weather Watch is now in effect.
