Flood Advisory

Flood Advisory issued July 2 at 5:24PM EDT until July 2 at 8:30PM EDT by NWS Tallahassee FL

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of Big Bend Florida, including the following counties, Jefferson and Madison and south central Georgia, including the following counties, Brooks, Colquitt, Lowndes and Thomas. * WHEN...Until 830 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 524 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 4 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Quitman, Thomasville, Moultrie, Madison, Boston, Ochlocknee, Pavo, Coolidge, Barwick, Lee, Dixie, Pidcock, Brooks Co A/p, Oaklawn, Grooverville, Empress, Hollis, Everett, Ashville and Lovett. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Florida, including the following county, Putnam. * WHEN...Until 700 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 504 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas have already caused minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Palatka, Pomona Park, East Palatka, San Mateo, Satsuma, Orange Mills, Bardin, Bostwick, Federal Point, Welaka and Lake Como. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
