* WHAT...Wet snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 1 and 4 inches. * WHERE...Paradise Valley. * WHEN...Until noon MDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Most roads will remain wet, but some may become slushy. This includes Highway 89 through Emigrant. Be prepared for areas of poor visibility.

Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches. * WHERE...Beartooth Foothills and Red Lodge Foothills. * WHEN...Until noon MDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Most roads will remain wet, but some may become slushy or snow covered especially near Red Lodge and Nye. This includes Highway 212 from Roberts to Red Lodge. Be prepared for areas of poor visibility.

* WHAT...Heavy snow occurring. Additional snow accumulations between 5 and 10 inches. * WHERE...Absaroka/Beartooth Mountains. * WHEN...Until 3 PM MDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Back country activities will be difficult to dangerous due to cold temperatures, gusty winds, and heavy wet snow. Be prepared for dangerous winter conditions.

In Wyoming, Northeast Bighorn Mountains. * WHEN...Until 6 PM MDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Recreation in the high country will be impacted by accumulating snow. Travel will be difficult over US-14. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...2 to 5 inches of snow has already fallen over the Bighorn mountains above 7000 feet.

Those in the backcountry should ensure they are prepared for winter conditions.

Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...Gallatin and Madison County Mountains and Centennial Mountains. * WHEN...Until noon MDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult and tire chains may be required for some vehicles. Those in the backcountry should ensure they are prepared for winter conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Hunters, especially those in the Gallatin, Gravelly, and Madison Ranges and Tobacco Root Mountains, should be prepared for winter condtions.

The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The period of heaviest snowfall over Bozeman Pass is expected to occur from now through early Friday morning.

Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The most intense period of wind is expected to occur from late Friday evening through the mid-morning hours on Saturday.
