Prolonged dry weather and a dry ground will once again lead to an elevated fire weather concern for today. Use caution when handling and disposing of ignition sources. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

The prolonged period of dry weather coupled with a very dry ground will continue to result in elevated fire weather concerns on Monday. Relative humidity values during the afternoon hours could fall as low as 34 percent, with most locations ranging between 35 and 45 percent. For Berkshire County, winds during the late afternoon hours increase from 5 to 10 mph to 15 to 20 mph. For Litchfield county, winds remain between 5 and 10 mph. Use caution when handling and disposing of ignition sources. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
