The Texas Commission of Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has issued an Ozone Action Day for the El Paso Area, from 10 AM to 8 PM MDT Saturday. Atmospheric conditions are expected to be favorable for producing high levels of ozone pollution in the El Paso area. You can help prevent ozone Pollution by sharing a ride, walking, riding a bicycle, taking your lunch to work, avoiding drive through lanes, conserving energy and keeping your vehicle properly tuned.

* WHAT...Isolated minor coastal flooding with water nearing the dunes at narrow beaches. * WHERE...Kenedy Island, Willacy Island and Cameron Island Counties. * WHEN...Until 10 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Wave run-up may approach the dunes along narrow beaches. Beach equipment, such as umbrellas and chairs, could be moved by waves. Vehicles driving along narrow beaches may experience higher water levels. Elevated water levels may also occur across the Laguna Madre and South Bay, and along State Highway 4 west of Boca Chica State Park. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High tide is around 6 PM this evening, and the highest waters levels...near the dunes at narrow beaches and within 50 feet or so of the dune line elsewhere...is likely between 4 PM and 8 PM.
