Expect continued west to northwest gusts between 25 to 35 mph through this afternoon. Higher gusts up to 40 mph remain possible at times along the higher ridges. Winds decrease slowly this evening and into the overnight hours.

Blizzard Warning issued November 23 at 6:43AM EST until November 23 at 7:00AM EST by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC

The threat has ended. Expect an additional dusting to 2 inches of snow especially at elevations above 3500 feet. Plan a little extra time for slick travel this morning especially along the US-219 (MD line to the Canaan Valley), (US-48 corridor between Bismarck,WV and Davis,WV), & (US-33 corridor from Franklin, WV to Seneca Rocks, WV). Visibility may be reduced down to one mile or less at times due to blowing snow. Wind gusts up to 40 mph remain possible through this afternoon.

* WHAT...For the Blizzard Warning, blizzard conditions. Additional snow accumulations up to 3 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations up to one inch and ice accumulations around a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. * WHERE...Northwest Pocahontas and Southeast Randolph Counties. * WHEN...For the Blizzard Warning, until 10 AM EST this morning. For the Winter Storm Warning, from 10 AM this morning to 7 PM EST this evening. * IMPACTS...Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages.
