Special Weather Statement issued November 14 at 9:33PM EST by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC

Patchy dense fog has developed across the Blue Ridge Escarpment. Visiblity can suddenly be reduced to under one-quarter mile when encountering a fog bank, causing hazardous driving conditions. Motorists traveling in the area this evening are urged to slow down, leave plenty of space between vehicles, and use low-beam headlights in fog.

Coastal Flood Advisory issued November 14 at 9:15PM EST until November 15 at 9:00AM EST by NWS Charleston SC

* WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level expected along shorelines and tidal waterways (7.4 to 7.6 feet Mean Lower Low Water at Charleston). * WHERE...Coastal Colleton and Charleston Counties. * WHEN...From 5 AM to 9 AM EST Friday. * IMPACTS...This will result in some roads becoming impassable and minor flooding of properties. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High tide will occur around 6:55 AM Friday at Charleston. Saltwater inundation will be possible 1 to 2 hours before and after high tide.

Flood Warning

Flood Warning issued November 14 at 8:52PM EST by NWS Charleston SC

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Edisto River near Givhans Ferry. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, some homes near the end of Happiness Lane are flooded. Most homes and cabins along the river between Canadys and Norman Landing are accessible only by boat. Flooding will also impact portions of Parkers Ferry Road. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 830 PM EST Thursday, the stage was 13.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 10.9 feet Tuesday evening. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
