We may provide a wider range of issued severe weather warnings for surrounding cities and counties, so some alerts may not directly impact this location. This is done to help with preparing for severe weather that may overlap or be heading towards Chappaquiddick Island.

* Affected Area...All of Berkshire and Litchfield Counties. * Timing...From 7 AM to 6 PM EST Today. * Winds...Northwest 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. * Relative Humidity...As low as 20 percent. * Temperatures...45 to 50 degrees. * Impacts...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Coastal Flood Statement

Coastal Flood Statement issued November 15 at 3:04AM EST until November 15 at 12:00PM EST by NWS Boston/Norton MA

* WHAT...Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways (3.1 to 13.2 feet Mean Lower Low Water). * WHERE...Eastern Essex MA, Suffolk MA, Eastern Plymouth MA, Barnstable MA, Dukes MA and Nantucket MA Counties. * WHEN...From 8 AM this morning to noon EST today. * IMPACTS...Shallow pockets of flooding less than one foot deep affects the lowest lying areas along the coast, including Morrissey Boulevard in Boston. Most roads remain passable. Flooding up to one foot deep affects coastal roads on the North Shore from Salem to Gloucester and Newburyport. Rough surf will cause flooding on some coastal roads around the time of high tide due to splashover. Roads remain passable. Low lying areas and roads near Nantucket Harbor, including Easy Street, may experience pockets of shallow flooding less than one foot deep.
