The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 10 AM this morning to 9 PM MDT this evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 253 Kit Carson. * WINDS...North 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 9 percent. * TEMPERATURES...Up to 92. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Gusty west/northwest winds will spread across the region Saturday, strongest in the high country and areas within 50 miles of the Wyoming and Nebraska state lines. Very dry conditions are expected, with minimum humidity of 8-12% across the lower elevations, and 10-18% in the high country below 10,000 ft. Temperatures will also remain very warm, well above seasonal averages and locally near daily records.
