* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Western portions of the South Plains of West Texas, including the following counties, Bailey, Cochran, Hockley, Terry and Yoakum. * WHEN...From late tonight through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of roadways, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop in eastern New Mexico late this evening and move eastward into western portions of the South Plains overnight into Saturday morning. Unseasonably high atmospheric moisture content will likely result in very high rain rates with this activity. This combined with the potential for multiple storms to train repeatedly over the same areas may result in flash flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of southeast New Mexico, including the following areas, Eddy and Lea Counties, and western Texas, including the following areas, Andrews and Gaines Counties. * WHEN...From this evening through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A band of slowing moving thunderstorms is expected to develop tonight as a weather system approaches the region with additional rounds of thunderstorms possible through Saturday morning. With multiple rounds of thunderstorms possible, a few area may receive torrential rainfall resulting in flash flooding.
