At 449 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking intense snow showers along a line extending from 17 miles north of Seeley Lake to near Deer Lodge. Movement was west at 30 mph. HAZARD...Visibility one-half mile or less. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Low visibility could result in dangerous driving conditions. Locations impacted include... Deer Lodge, Drummond, Ovando, Garrison, Seeley Lake, Finn, Jens, Princeton, Brock Creek, New Chicago, Clearwater, Bearmouth, Avon, Racetrack, Garnet, Helmville, Goldcreek, Hall, Greenough, and Woodworth. This includes the following highways... Interstate 90 between mile markers 142 and 195. Highway 12 Garrison to MacDonald Pass between mile markers 0 and 14. Highway 83 between mile markers 0 and 25. Highway 200 E between mile markers 22 and 64.

Winds gusting as high as 40 mph creating areas of blowing snow. * WHERE...Powder River. * WHEN...Until 11 AM MST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous this evening. Plan on slippery road conditions. Blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility at times. The hazardous conditions could impact this evening and Wednesday morning commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Motorists along US-212 through Home Creek Divide should expect slick roads and reduced visibility at times overnight.

Travel could be very difficult on US-14. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. Bands of moderate to heavy snow currently tracking from Helena, will move south, reaching the I-90 corridor between 5 to 6pm MST. This can bring rapid reductions in visibility and accumulate slushy snow up to an inch on roadways. If traveling, watch for sudden visibility and road condition changes, slow down, and use caution.
