Where: East Vancouver Island - Campbell River to Nanoose Bay, Sunshine Coast - Saltery Bay to Powell River What: Winds southeast 70 km/h gusting to 90. Additional Information: Another fall storm is forecast to impact the south coast tonight. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. High winds may result in power outages and fallen tree branches. Notice
Strong outflow winds. When: Tonight through Saturday. Where: Mainland valleys and inlets of the North and Central Coasts. Peak winds: Northeast outflow winds near 90 km/h. Remarks: A ridge of high pressure building over interior BC combined with a low pressure system approaching the BC coast will generate very strong outflow winds through mainland valleys and inlets. Strong northeasterly outflow winds ranging from 70 to 90 km/h are expected to persist through tonight and Saturday. As the low weakens and moves offshore, outflow winds will gradually ease below wind warning criteria Saturday overnight. ### High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Utility outages may occur. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to BCstorm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports using #BCStorm.
